Our research focuses on the structural bioinformatics including protein tertiary structure prediction, protein structure determination from experimental data (NMR, SAXS), RNA and DNA structure and physical interaction networks. Developing new software, methods incorporate new algorithms to tackle issues of structural biology are considered as a main part of our research. We are also interested in using computational methods to study the structure and function of membrane proteins.
The group is led by Dr.Seyed Shahriar Arab (also Director of the Biophysics Department). To find out more about research please see the Projects page. Most of our research activities are published in form of software and tools which are free to use.
